Advantages of being unemployed (by choice):
Tuesday, August 15, 2006
Came across this picture on flickr while searching for “unemployed”.
One thing I’ve learned by not finding a job is that by choosing not to do something that you’ve been doing your whole studying life, your mind is opened to numerous money making opportunities. Matthew Haughey certainly liked it. In Malaysia, no job = no income. No income = no food, no water, no electricity, etc. Even Jeff Skrysak even has an article devoted to surviving unemployment. In such desperate situations you’re forced to be creative and begin to see opportunities where others see nothing.
In my desperate attempt to make a living a non-career way, I decided to start several ventrures starting by "selling nothing" (it'll be out soon). Well it’s just an experiment to test out several theories but if it brings back the bacon, why not?
So in the words of Bob Black, “Why work?”
